"The Corner Cafe makes some of the best bagels in New York City! I'm usually there early in the morning between 6:00 & 7:00 A.M. when the bagels are just coming out of the oven. No need to toast them as they are hot out of the oven. They offer a wide selection of spreads."

"The Corner Cafe's salads are the best value I've yet to find in Manhattan. Bold statement, I know, but where else can you get your choice of lettuce (spinach, mixed greens, regular iceberg, and maybe arugula?) and 5 toppings for less than $6?!"

"Love these guys, and love the no order minimum. Great for when I'm hungover on Sunday morning and need a proper bacon egg and cheese with hot sauce on a bagel with extra bacon and extra eggs and cheese with sausage. That's more than occasionally, too. Bomb sauce, on the side!"

"Cheap and good. I love that there's no order minimum. Perfect for when I'm at the office and didn't have time to eat breakfast: a bagel, a coffee, and OJ for 6 bucks? Yes please, Plus delivery only took 20 minutes (estimated was 30 - 45). I'll be ordering from them again."

"I'm a semi-regular here! The first time was before I moved to NYC, when I stayed in the Hilton just down the street. That's when I discovered their bagels, and I've been coming back ever since. They're just so freakin' delicious - I love their chewiness (not the kind of chewiness that comes from being stale, but the kind that...I don't know how to describe it...just has a lot of "oomph" when you bite into it), and I love their strawberry cream cheese. Every time I go I think I should try a different cream cheese, but then I see the strawberry, remember its taste in my mouth, shake my head and order the same thing. Delish! :)"

"The corner that The Corner Cafe sits on is bright, clean, lots of seating, and a heck of a lot of food items to choose from. The menu is pretty large for a place that looks like a cafe/deli combo. Bagels and an assortment of cream cheeses, breakfast sandwiches and create your own omelets, make your own pasta plates, make your own salads, wraps, flat bread sandwiches, daily soups, burgers, and they even make their own pizzas here. Not a bad spot for a quick bite if not looking for anything fancy. I had a smoked turkey and brie with honey mustard, tomatoes, and lettuce on a seven grain baguette. Had it heated up on the panini press which gave it a nice warm crispiness. Delish! With a soda came out to less than $10 for lunch."

"This review is only for their bagels..and IMHO they are the best in the city! They also have really awesome cream cheese spreads. I love the pimento and also the garlic & herb."

"Great stop for a bagel sandwich. Everything bagel was perfect consistency. Jasmine ordered veggie tofu on pumpernickel, amazing. Clean, bright, and friendly"

_"The bagels are fresh and they have a wide variety of cream cheeses and spreads, even tofu. Most importantly, the wait staff is very friendly which is a rarity in NYC bagel places."

"You've got to love it when a place totally lives up to its name. The Corner Cafe is indeed located on a city corner, specifically the corner of 6th avenue and 24th street. There are tons of places like this in the city with attractive wood decors, relatively nice furniture and a menu that boasts everything from sandwiches to salads ot pizza. Often however, such places can be a disappointment but I was tired and hungry when I walked in with my girlfriend so we just wanted a sandwich that didn't look like it was vacuum packed from the day before.
The staff at the Corner Cafe was very attentive. Not much for small talk, but highly efficient at taking your order and keeping a line moving. We ordered a panini sandwich with mozzarella and pesto chicken with some roasted red peppers tossed in for good measure. The bread was a sun dried tomato bread that had nice, large chunks of the tomato in it. It was ready within minutes of our order.
While we waited I noted that the place was really well kept. Nothing seemed out of place. The drinks were lined up nicely, the tables were all clean and the floors look like they were regularly mopped and swept. The food was laid out nicely at the counter, allowing you to see a varity of products including wraps, twelve kinds of cream cheese, sable, lox, sandwiches, salads, pizzas and more.
When our sandwich arrived, we dug in and boy how wonderful! The bread was crispy and flakey with a nice flavor thanks to the pesto sauce and sun dried tomato. The chicken was tender and they did not hold back on the cheese! Overall it was a super satisfying sandwich that we both enjoyed very much."
